What is MBBSS
Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is a vocational course whereby students are given a degree in medicine and surgery after successful completion of the course. This course aims to provide quality education and training for students to contribute to the growing areas of health and medicine.
This course is controlled by the Medical Council of India and is divided for four and a half years from semester, followed by a mandatory internship for one year.
Degree is currently given in institutions in India
Historically, the bachelor of medicine was also the first medical degree provided by the institution. In countries where the degree of bachelor degree is given, the Doctor of Medicine represents the holder of a high doctor and is reserved for medical practitioners who do research and prescribe a thesis in the field of medicine. The graduates of the Bachelor of Medicine are termed as a title by the courtesy of "Doctor". In many countries, N degree is given during graduation courses in five to six years.
